Junior Portfolio Manager

to join a high-performing

Long/Short Equities pod

within a top-tier hedge fund. The ideal candidate will support the lead Portfolio Manager in identifying and executing equity investment ideas, performing deep fundamental research, and managing risk across the bookThis is a unique opportunity to gain exposure within a well-established team and to contribute meaningfully to alpha generation. The role offers a clear path to increased portfolio responsibility for strong performersKey Responsibilities:Support the PM in generating long and short equity investment ideas across a defined sector or regionConduct fundamental analysis including financial modeling, valuation, and channel checksMonitor existing positions and track key catalysts and market developmentsCollaborate with internal analysts and share insights across the broader investment teamAssist in portfolio construction and risk management oversightPresent investment theses clearly and concisely in internal meetingsIdeal Candidate Profile:3–6 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management with a focus on public equitiesStrong accounting and valuation skills; ability to build and maintain detailed financial modelsDemonstrated passion for investing and a long-term ambition to run capitalSelf-starter with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and humilityFamiliarity with long/short strategies and prior experience in a buy-side environment preferredUndergraduate degree from a top-tier institution; CFA or MBA a plus but not requiredSeniority level
