Junior Mechanical Project Manager

OHUK are currently looking or a Junior / Assistant Mechanical Project Manager on a permanent basis to join an established MEP sub contractor who have a current turnover of 50M per year. The company specialise in the commercial and industrial sector working on projects valuing 10M +.

This position is to be based between the companies HO and project which is centrally located in London.

Duties/ requirements

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering mechanical projects on time and within budget.
• Support the preparation of project programmes, schedules, and weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of works.
• Attend and contribute to progress meetings, client meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Oversee and manage site activities including labour allocation, plant, and material deliveries.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the management of health & safety on site, including RAMS, permits, and toolbox talks.
• Review and update technical documentation, drawings, and redline/as-built records.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Support commissioning and testing documentation, ensuring systems are ready for handover.

• SSSTS / SMSTS
• Relevant mechanical qualifications
• Minimum 2 years experience within management experience
• Strong at communication and liaising with clients
