These products are distributed to customers through two specialist channels: Risk Management and Financial Products.For more information visitRole SummaryAssisting the Solutions Legal team with all aspects of the Marex Solutions business, with a specific focus on Financial Products.This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to begin or take the next step in their legal career while working in-house in a rapidly growing organisation. The successful candidate will work alongside the Solutions Legal team on the day-to–day document negotiations and structured product issuances, alongside project work where applicable.ResponsibilitiesThe Responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to) the following:Preparing structured products documentation (including initial issuance documents, restructurings, stock exchange listings and regulatory documents).Drafting and negotiating legal agreements (including distribution agreements, commercial contracts and index agreements).Responsibility for documenting relationships with third party distributors of structured products (including checking regulatory status permissions, co-ordinating annual reviews and organising distributor records).Liaising with external and internal stakeholders (including the internal trading desk, third party distributors, stock exchanges and external structured products agents).Updating and maintaining appropriate records for the product lifecycle.Assisting the Solutions Legal team with the implementation of product governance policies and procedures in respect of structured products.Arranging execution of structured products documentation and associated legal agreements.Participate in (and coordinate as necessary) various structured products projects, including regulatory and policy initiative.Reviewing contractual rights in the context of day-today operations and in stress situations.Supporting the relevant business unit with respect to queries raised in connection with structured products and documentation.Proactively learn about and develop internal documentation systems.Assisting the Legal department with other urgent or ad hoc matters from time to time.Skills and ExperiencePrior relevant experience in private practice or in-house is preferred but not considered essential where there is a genuine enthusiasm for and desire to learn about financial markets and structured products.Candidate should be very organised and have good communication skills.An appropriate level of legal knowledge is required.Strong work ethic.An enthusiastic attitude towards teamwork and developing skills across a variety of different types of legal work.Professional QualificationsStrong academic results, including or above at degree level; andLegal Practice Course (or Solicitors Qualifying Examination preparedness) preferable, but not mandatory.Conduct RulesYou must:Act with integrityAct with due skill, care and diligenceBe open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulatorsPay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairlyObserve proper standard of market conductCompany ValuesActing as a role model for the values of the Company:Respect
