This role would suit someone at the beginning of their IT career, perhaps with a relevant college course, degree or qualification, or someone who has developed strong IT skills through self-learning and personal projects.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for technology, a willingness to learn and a strong aptitude in at least one of the following areas: PCs, servers or networking.

The Junior IT Support Role:

- Communicate directly with customers face-to-face, understanding their needs and providing a positive customer experience.
- Build strong working relationships through clear communication, professionalism and a helpful attitude.
- Apply your existing technical knowledge while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
- Learn from experienced professionals and develop your skills within an IT infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Work towards further career development opportunities based on your performance and potential.
- A genuine interest in IT and technology.
- Some knowledge or experience of PCs, server environments or networking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence when speaking to customers face-to-face.
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner, with a strong customer-focused attitude.
- The ability to listen, understand customer needs and explain information clearly.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the confidence to take initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine desire to build a long-term career in IT.
- A relevant IT course, degree or qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. We would also welcome candidates who have developed their skills through self-learning, personal projects or practical experience.
- An initial temporary contract of up to 12 months, with the intention of offering the full 12 months to candidates who are performing well.
- Potential for a longer-term career pathway, including consideration for entry onto an IT Infrastructure apprenticeship programme for candidates who demonstrate exceptional ability and meet the relevant entry requirements.
If you have a passion for IT, excellent people skills and the drive to learn and develop, we would love to hear from you. Apply today through Pertemps!
