Junior IT Support Desk Advisor Salary: Grade 3 starting at £23,061 and progressing to £24,685 Please note: it is the university s policy to appoint new staff at the bottom of the pay scale, unless there are demonstrable exceptional skills and experience the candidate brings with them. IT Support at the RAU is key to the success of the University by the enabling of academic staff, the enrichment of curriculum and of both face-to-face and distance learning. The Support Desk team provides software, systems and hardware support to staff, students and other users. This person will be an important member of the team undertaking support activities as directed and working directly with users to provide IT support and escalate issues to enable resolution. The IT and Estates team are looking for a Junior IT Support Desk Advisor to join the team to provide first line support and triage to end-users (staff, students and visitors to the university), providing solutions where possible, and escalating to more senior team members when required.
