Junior Internal Sales Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Internal Sales Engineer to join a growing Drives & Automation team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a technical engineering qualification who is looking to develop a career combining engineering knowledge with customer interaction and commercial exposure.

You''ll work closely with experienced sales and engineering professionals, supporting customers with product enquiries, quotations, and technical solutions across industrial automation applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations and proposals for automation, drives, and motion control solutions.
• Support customers with product selection and technical enquiries.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers via phone and email.
• Assist with order processing and project coordination.
• Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements

Essential

• Technical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, Level 3, HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
• Background in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronic Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Previous experience in an engineering, technical support, customer service, or sales environment.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, drives, motors, PLCs, or control systems.
• Experience using CRM or ERP systems.
