Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with a successful and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Junior HSE Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within Health, Safety and Environmental management while gaining hands-on experience within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Part of a larger and financially strong group, the business has heavily invested in its people, facilities and site operations, creating an exciting environment for someone looking to develop and progress their career. The company is committed to developing people and will provide ongoing training, mentoring and support from an experienced HSE Manager. They are also happy to support candidates through further qualifications including NEBOSH, Health & Safety and Environmental training courses.
The Opportunity:
As a Junior HSE Coordinator you’ll play a key role in:
- Supporting day-to-day Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site
- Assisting with risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections
- Helping managers and teams identify hazards and implement safe working practices
- Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations
- Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the business
- Assisting with the coordination of emergency procedures, site surveys and compliance activities
- Supporting the ongoing development of HSE systems, procedures and best practice standards
About You:
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- An interest in developing a career within Health, Safety & Environment
- IOSH certification or candidates who have achieved or started studying towards a NEBOSH qualification
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Experience within manufacturing, warehouse/logistics or FMCG environments would be beneficial but is not essential
- A full UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role and site requirements
