A specialist Junior Geotechnical Design Engineer based in York are seeking an ambitious engineer to join their team on a variety of exciting residential projects around the UK. The Junior Geotechnical Design Engineer selected will be learning to develop ground models and designing structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles and reinforced soil slopes on a range of residential and commercial projects. Engineers will also be conducting ground movement assessments and supporting the wider team.

The Junior Geotechnical Design Engineer selected will be offered:

To be considered for the Junior Geotechnical Design Engineer position you should:

• Have a degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus) or similar (MSc preferred).
• Have a full and clean UK Driving Licence.
• Be commutable to York and the surrounding area.
• Have a full right to work in the UK.
• Experience in Geotechnical Engineering and understanding of soil mechanics (with experience using softwares such as , AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile and WALLAP) is preferable but not essential.
