Our team designs authentic, distinctive footwear from our London headquarters, with the rainbow as our signature representing good energy and community.We’re looking for a creative and skilled Junior Designer to join our Men’s Footwear Design team. This is an opportunity to be a key part of a small, collaborative team, developing design-led, fashion-forward collections that are customer-focused and aligned with our brand strategy.In this role, you’ll support the design and development of men’s footwear styles, focusing on trainers as well as formal and casual silhouettes. You’ll research trends, shapes, materials, and trims, bringing original ideas to life through sketches and technical drawings. You’ll finalise approved designs for production and work closely with suppliers and the buying team to ensure products meet our standards for fit, quality, and brand identity.You will have experience of designing men’s or ladies footwear for a high-fashion retailer. Strong CAD skills, an eye for detail, and a clear understanding of current trends are essential. Supporting and working with Senior Designer on projects and daily tasksDevelop customer and market-focused product collections each season in line with company strategy and brand identityResearch trends, materials, trims and colour, designing new product incorporating your original ideasIdentify opportunities for new shapes and products to enhance the existing rangeCreate detailed specifications and technical drawings for new product developments and sample modificationsWork closely with the Buying team to ensure production details meet the brands quality requirementsWork closely with the Buying team to finalise aesthetics of approved designs for productionProduce high quality work to targets and tight deadlinesThe Person — Qualifications and Experience
Experience in footwear and working in design studiosMotivated, proactive, and eager to learnPassionate about fashion with a strong interest in and keen eye for current and upcoming trendsCreative flair with a passion for sneakers and casual footwearAbility to interpret trends through the lens of the brand, incorporating existing house codes and evolving iconic stylesPractical knowledge and experience of production methods in the Far East or similarWorking independently but within a teamPositive attitude with strong relationship-building and communication skillsOpen minded and receptive to feedback, flexible with the ability to adapt when direction shiftsExcellent attention to detailAdobe Illustrator skills necessary, Photoshop beneficialAn understanding and passion for Kurt Geiger, our collections and brandBenefits and Culture
