The position offers a unique opportunity to blend strategic insight with hands-on financial stewardship, overseeing revenue recognition, client billing, risk mitigation, and team development. The successful candidate will support the business''s financial health while upholding Edelman''s standards of compliance, collaboration, and leadership.Responsibilities include:

Managing Client Financials:

Review and approve client budgets and scopes.Assist account teams with monthly project budget tracking and client reporting.Facilitate client billing and collaborate with client leads to minimize risk related to AR and credit requirements.Coordinate data collection for client audits.Review time and expense write-offs and unbilled WIP.Develop and maintain strong relationships with client teams to understand their business needs.Financial Management and Planning:

Review monthly client fee phasing and expense details with relevant teams.Analyze client financial reports, identify concerns, and suggest improvements (e.g., profitability, realization, utilization).Assist in preparing and managing staffing and revenue plans.Ensure accuracy of client financials, including billing, pricing, receivables, WIP, and projections.Revenue Recognition:

Review monthly fees for accuracy and compliance with Edelman Revenue Recognition policy.Billing/Cash Flow Management:

Manage monthly billing processes and review billing reports.Review write-offs and unbilled WIP.Ensure timely processing of service orders.Work with leadership to minimize risk related to AR and credit.Provide timely AR status updates and liaise with Accounts Receivable.General Management:

Ensure compliance with company financial policies.Handle ad hoc requests and projects.People Development:

Contribute to performance appraisals.Engage in team-building activities.Provide ongoing feedback and ensure accountability.Leadership:

Align behaviors with Edelman''s values, Ethics, and Business Conduct.Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic.Commit to continuous learning and skill development.Share best practices openly to foster trust and teamwork.Experience Required:

Bachelor''s degree in Finance or Accounting and 1+ years in an Accounting or Commercial Finance role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong organizational and time management skills.Financial analysis, management skills, and knowledge of financial models.Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.Experience in professional services preferred but not required.We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
