This established principal contractor has been delivering commercial and educational construction projects since 1994. Working across new builds, refurbishments, extensions, and maintenance projects, they have built an excellent reputation for quality delivery, strong client relationships, and a people-focused culture. Following continued success within the business, they are now looking to bring in a Junior Estimator to support their commercial team.

In this role, you will work closely with senior members of the business, assisting with tendering activities, subcontractor enquiries, pricing exercises, site visits, procurement support, and project administration. You will gain exposure to both office and site operations while receiving direct mentorship from experienced commercial professionals.

With that, the ideal candidate will have some form of basic construction experience and knowledge, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to develop a long-term career within estimating.

The Role:

• Working closely with senior commercial staff
• Assisting with tender preparation and subcontractor enquiries
• Attending site visits to gather information for pricing exercises
• Supporting site teams with project-related queries
• Preparing purchase orders and assisting with procurement activities
• Sending out quotation packages and reviewing returned prices
• Attending client meetings and pre-start meetings when required
• Developing into a more senior commercial role over time

The Person:

• Construction experience in any discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Good understanding of construction materials and processes
• Motivated to develop a long-term career within estimating
• Positive team player with a proactive attitude
• Commutable distance from Redditch
