Junior Estimator

Your New Company:An established and growing construction business specialising in refurbishment, fit-out and construction projects is seeking an ambitious Junior Estimator to join its pre-construction team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and investing in employee development, the company offers a supportive environment where you can build a long-term career in estimating.Your New Role:As a Junior Estimator, you will support the estimating function across a range of construction and refurbishment projects. Working closely with senior estimators, project managers and supply chain partners, you will assist in preparing cost estimates, tender submissions and budget forecasts whilst developing your commercial and technical knowledge.Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions. Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations. Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities and pricing schedules. Researching labour, material and subcontractor costs. Assisting with risk analysis and value engineering opportunities. Maintaining estimating databases and records. Participating in site visits and pre-tender meetings. Supporting post-tender negotiations and project handovers.
