On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet''s vital power needs we are looking for a Junior Engineer for a 24 month contract based in Bristol (hybrid).
Overview of the role:
- Provide technical administration and project coordination support to a busy Systems Engineering team working across mature defence programmes.
- Support the effective management of engineering data, documentation, and information to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
- Develop a foundation for a career within Systems Engineering or Technical Programme Delivery by working closely with engineering and technical teams within a complex engineering environment.
What You''ll Do:
- Support Systems Engineers and project teams with technical administration and coordination activities.
- Maintain engineering documentation, records, trackers, and controlled data in line with business processes.
- Manage engineering information requests and arrange access to technical files, systems, and documentation.
- Track project plans, activities, milestones, actions, and deliverables to ensure teams remain on schedule.
- Coordinate meetings, capture actions, and support project updates across engineering teams.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to facilitate the effective sharing of engineering information.
- Support document control, product data management, and information governance activities across defence programmes.
The Skills You''ll Need:
- Previous administration, document control, project coordination, or data management experience within an engineering or technical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with engineers, project teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good attention to detail and a structured approach to managing technical information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Exposure to Teamcenter, NX, or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems would be a strong advantage.
- An understanding of engineering terminology, technical documentation, and engineering processes.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical data would be advantageous.
- Degree qualified, or recently graduated, in an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
- A genuine interest in Systems Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management, and Technical Programme Delivery.
