This Role Is Built for Electricians and Engineers You don't need a background in estimating. You need a background in the electrical industry. If you're a time-served electrician, or you've come up through electrical design or engineering, you already have the hardest part of this job nailed: you understand how switchboards, distribution boards, containment, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems actually go together on site. That's exactly what makes a good estimator - someone who can look at a drawing and picture the install, not just count symbols. This is a genuine career path off the tools and into the office, without starting from zero. We'll teach you the estimating process, the software, and the commercial side.
