About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join an established building services consultancy in Clevedon.
This role would be ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to learn how electrical systems are designed for buildings and develop into a professional Electrical Design Engineer.
You could be a recent college leaver, someone who has completed an electrical apprenticeship, or a graduate with an Electrical Engineering qualification.
You don''t need previous consultancy experience - full training and support will be provided.
What Will You Be Doing£
Working alongside experienced Electrical Engineers, you''ll learn how electrical systems are designed for a wide range of buildings and projects.
Your day-to-day work will gradually include:
- Helping to design electrical systems for buildings
- Assisting with lighting and emergency lighting layouts
- Learning about power and electrical distribution
- Helping with electrical calculations
- Producing and updating electrical drawings
- Learning to use design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Working with other engineers to coordinate building services
- Helping to prepare technical documents and specifications
- Attending occasional site visits to see how designs are put into practice
- Developing your understanding of electrical standards and regulations
You''ll start by supporting more experienced engineers and, as your knowledge develops, you''ll gradually take on more responsibility.
