Junior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join an MEP engineering company working on the HS2 project. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring electrical engineer to develop their technical skills and gain valuable experience working on a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will support the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical engineering systems, working alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams. The role will involve assisting with electrical design calculations, drawings, technical documentation, and site-based engineering activities, with opportunities to develop competency in electrical design and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and development of electrical engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.Support electrical design activities, including cable sizing, load assessments, lighting calculations, containment layouts, and equipment selection.Prepare and update electrical drawings using CAD and BIM software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.Assist with reviewing technical documentation, design packages, and engineering specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support the coordination of electrical designs with mechanical, public health, civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines.Help identify design clashes, technical issues, and potential improvements during the design development process.Assist senior ..... full job details .....
