Junior Design Engineer

Job Title: Junior Design EngineerLocation: Birmingham / West MidlandsSalary: 27,000 to 36,000 per annum, based on experienceJob Type: Full time, PermanentWorking pattern: Office-based initially, with 1-2 days'' home working available once establishedArmagard is a UK manufacturer specialising in protective enclosures and engineered solutions for digital displays, computers and electronic equipment used in commercial and industrial environments. We design and develop our products in-house, working closely with our manufacturing partners and customers to take products from initial concept through to manufacture and final assembly.About the role:We''re looking for a recent engineering graduate or junior design engineer to join our team. You''ll gain hands-on experience throughout the product lifecycle, taking designs from initial concepts through to manufacture, assembly and ongoing support.Key Responsibilities:Design sheet metal components and fabricated assemblies using SolidWorks.Produce manufacturing drawings, drawing packs and technical documentation.Develop new products and customise existing designs to meet customer requirements.Support prototype builds, testing and first production runs, helping resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.Maintain product codes and Bills of Materials using CIM50 MRP.Work with Production, Sales and suppliers on technical queries, quotations and product improvements.Occasionally attend customer sites.About you:You''ll need:A relevant ..... full job details .....
