My client is an established CNC machine tool specialist supporting thousands of machines across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued demand, they are looking for an additional Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Importantly, you don''t necessarily need previous field service experience. They are now open to experienced CNC machinists/setters/operators with a strong understanding of CNC machinery and experience with basic in-house maintenance. For the right person, training can be provided to develop you into the position. 

The Role

• Installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
• Working with 3 & 5-axis machine tools and 2, 3, 4 & 5-axis lathes.
• Fault-finding and diagnosing machine issues.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
• Completing service reports and daily worksheets.
• Predominantly field-based, with some time at the High Wycombe facility for training and machine preparation.
• UK-wide travel with overnight stays when necessary.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required

• Experience working with CNC machine tools – this could be within field service, maintenance, setting, operating or machining.
• Experience with  CNC machine tools such as Mazak, Hurco or Haas would also be of interest.
• For candidates coming from the shop floor, some involvement with basic machine maintenance or fault finding would be beneficial.
• Comfortable developing into a customer-facing Field Service position.
• Willing to travel and stay away when required.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Package:

• Salary up to £50k DOE
• 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

• Roughly 90% on the road, with occasional working from the office prepping machines
