Junior CAD Technician

The client is an established and renowned civil and structural engineering company.They are seeking to add a Junior CAD Technician to their team and Pertemps are working in partnership with them to support on this vacancy.Working on residential housing developments, the postholder will support the production of technical drawings and design documentation for a wide range of projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a rewarding career within the engineering industry, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a supportive and collaborative environment.No previous CAD experience is required as full on-the-job training will be provided. However, any working experience of design packages or relevant qualifications will be advantageous.There will potentially be the opportunity to undertake a recognised apprenticeship programme through day release, with progression to college and, where appropriate, university qualifications, providing a clear pathway to a long-term career in Civil and Structural Engineering.The role is day based Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times (40 hour week) Key ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.Create technical drawings, schematics, system layouts, and detailed design documentation to support project delivery.Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and project teams to develop, coordinate, and refine ..... full job details .....
