Junior CAD Designer

Headley have a live vacancy with a bespoke manufacturing company in the Wakefield area who are seeking a junior CAD Designer.

This is a new position as the company and department continue to grow and offers a great opportunity to develop a career in design in what is an exciting and interesting industry sector. The company have an excellent tack record of recruiting junior staff and developing their careers through the business.

Key duties to include:

• Production of shopfloor ready, technical drawings and supporting information using Solidworks
• Close liaison with other internal departments to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time and to budget

Experience required:

• Solidworks knowledge and experience
• Early career experience in a design job role
• Understanding of different materials, any of acrylics, joinery, metalwork / fabrication, glass
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Close attention to detail
• Good attitude to work, keen to learn and ambitious to develop
• Ideally a degree, HND or similar in a design discipline
