Junior Buyer

Our client, a manufacturing business in Rotherham, seek to appoint a Junior Buyer. Working for a long-established business on a great product range you will have some engineering knowledge (previous work experience experience in a manufacturing company preferred) and be a strong negotiator. You will also understand the fundamentals of purchasing / buying and have good communication skills. You do not need to have significant work experience as a Junior Buyer as you will be working closely with a Senior Buyer on a day-to-day basis. This role would suit someone looking for their first step into a Buyer role. Junior Buyer - Role and Responsibilities - Procurement / Purchasing / Buying / Engineering / Manufacturing Review purchase requests for material or manual purchase requisition Monitor purchase orders to maintain delivery schedules Maintain supplier relationships in order to drive cost reductions while continually achieving the highest level of quality material Plan and expedite the required material to ensure availability to production in a timely manner Resolve invoice queries Junior Buyer - Skills and Abilities - Procurement / Purchasing / Buying / Engineering / Manufacturing An understanding of manufacturing Some experience in a buyer / procurement / purchasing role advanteageous Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) Strong negotiating skills, ability to multitask, prioritise work and develop excellent working relationships with other ..... full job details .....
