Junior Buyer

Junior Buyer Location: Lytham Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Department: Manufacturing / Purchasing We are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join a busy manufacturing business based in Lytham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within purchasing and procurement, working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure materials and components are available when required. As Junior Buyer, you will play an important role within the manufacturing operation, supporting the company''s purchasing strategy, managing purchase orders and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The Role Working closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Finance teams, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient supply of materials and components required for production. Your responsibilities will include: Managing purchase orders in line with company purchasing procedures Working closely with the Production Planner to understand the 12-week production plan Placing orders in advance to ensure raw materials and components arrive on time Checking purchase orders are correctly authorised and maintaining accurate purchasing records Raising purchase orders for both production and non-stock items Developing and maintaining an accurate supplier database Keeping supplier information up to date, including contact details, payment terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs) and lead times Working with key suppliers to develop ..... full job details .....
