Junior Buyer / Assistant Buyer

My client are a groundworks and civil engineering specialist, currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer/Assistant Buyer, to work from their office in Potters Bar. Key responsibilities of the role include:Assist the Procurement Manager to ensure materials are delivered to sites in line with site programmes and specification and are purchased at competitive pricesAssist in the collation of documentation and issuing of material tender enquiriesAssist in the assessment and comparison of material quotationsProcess new material ordersAssist in production of monthly reports detailing material spendWork with the Procurement Manager to research new and relevant productsCarry out invoice checking procedure and where necessary deal with invoice queriesContinually monitor material lead times, keeping site managers informed, instigate forward material allocation when necessaryAssist with site call offsProvide general assistance to the Contracts and Estimating team as and when requiredTo maintain relationships with suppliers to maximise the profitability of the company.Requirements:1 years purchasing experience within a construction related companyGood organisation skillsExcellent communication skills About UsWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
