About the Role

A Junior Administration Support Assistant is required for a full-time, permanent position based in Nelson, with a salary of £12.75 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience. This role supports a family-run sub-contract fabricator specialising in steel, stainless steel, and aluminium fabrications. Duties include production administration, inputting quote requests, and downloading customer drawings. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in a similar position, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks, support technical operations, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Confidence in handling administrative responsibilities within a manufacturing setting is essential.

They are primarily a sub-contract fabricator offering our customers unrivalled support in the design and manufacture of steel and stainless-steel and aluminium fabrications.

We are currently seeking a Junior Administration Support Administrator to join their team in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar position, who is confident managing multiple tasks, supporting technical operations, and maintaining high levels of accuracy under pressure.

• Production Administration
• Inputting requests for quotes
• Downloading Customer Drawings
• Raising Orders
• Creating Job packets
• Creating Route cards
• Creating Bills of Material
• Creating/ Printing Engineering Drawings
• Completing Order Administration & Producing Delivery Notes
• Purchasing Materials
• General Office Administration
• General Filing

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems


Desirable Skills

• Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical industry
• Familiarity with order processing or job management systems

• 38 Hours per week
• Mon – Thus 08:00 – 16:30 Fri 08:00 – 14:00
