As a Junior Acoustic Engineer, you''ll play a key role in the mission to design and implement effective noise control strategies for projects that span residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities
As part of our expert team, you''ll:
- Conduct noise surveys and assessments to identify and address acoustic challenges.
- Collaborate on noise control projects for diverse environments, including data centres, tunnel ventilation systems, apartments, hotels, and mixed-use schemes.
- Analyse acoustic data and prepare detailed reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in the design and implementation of noise mitigation strategies tailored to each project.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate acoustic solutions seamlessly into designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in acoustics.
Qualifications
We''re looking for someone who is:
- Educated to degree level in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Passionate about noise control and acoustic design.
- Familiar with noise measurement techniques and equipment.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving.
- A strong communicator, able to convey technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Eager to learn and grow within a supportive, collaborative team environment.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day might include:
- Heading out to conduct a noise survey at a new residential development.
- Collaborating with the team to brainstorm solutions for a challenging tunnel ventilation project.
- Analysing data from a recent noise assessment and preparing a report for a commercial client.
- Meeting with architects to discuss acoustic considerations for a mixed-use scheme.
- Researching the latest advancements in noise control technologies to enhance your expertise.
