We are currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join an established and independent accountancy practice based in Leeds. This is a varied role working with a diverse range of clients, providing exposure to accounts preparation, VAT, bookkeeping and general accounting services. You will work closely with experienced accountants, Managers and Partners, while being given the autonomy and support to manage your own workload and develop strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities as Junior Accountant: Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Assist with the preparation of management accounts and year end accounts Complete VAT returns and ensure submissions are accurate and made within deadlines Carry out bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate financial records Assist with tax compliance work and the preparation of relevant information for clients Deal directly with clients to resolve accounting queries Maintain regular communication with clients Assist with reviewing financial information and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring further investigation Support senior members of the team with more complex accounts and client assignments ..... full job details .....
