Role:Bench JoinerLocation:Workshop-basedHours:As per contractSalary: 16.00 - 17.00 per hr What will you be doing?Producing, assembling and finishing high-quality bespoke furniture in a workshop environment.Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings, specifications and measurements.Selecting, measuring, marking, cutting and shaping a range of materials while minimising waste.Producing components to exact specifications using a variety of hand tools, machinery and equipment.Using both traditional and modern joinery techniques to assemble furniture and components.Applying required finishes, including laminates, to protect materials and achieve a high-quality appearance.Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets required quality standards and project specifications.Carrying out adjustments, repairs and remedial work where necessary.Maintaining tools, machinery and equipment in a clean and safe working condition and reporting faults promptly.Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.Working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet project deadlines and production requirements.Communicating clearly about project progress, material requirements, machinery issues and any potential delays.Supporting the training and development of junior staff or apprentices where required.Identifying and resolving production issues where possible and adapting to changes in project requirements.Maintaining accurate records of materials used, time spent ..... full job details .....
