Jetty Operator Location: West Thurrock £17.67 per hour Monday to Friday Permanent Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Jetty Operator to join a busy industrial site in West Thurrock. This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient operation of the jetty, including the loading and discharge of shipping, operation of site machinery and carrying out basic maintenance activities. The successful candidate will ideally have some mechanical or engineering experience and be comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at height. Salary and Benefits £17.67 per hour 07:00am 17:00pm, Monday to Friday 25 days annual leave + public bank holidays Permanent position Full training provided where required The Role As a Jetty Operator, you will work closely with the Jetty Foreman and Manager to ensure the jetty operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the safe loading and unloading of vessels and dry bulk shipments. Operating jetty machinery and mobile plant, including cranes, skid steers and forklifts, subject to appropriate training. Carrying out routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery and site equipment. Completing basic maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing, visual inspections and minor adjustments under supervision.
