We are looking for a committed and skilled Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an outstanding school in the Milton Keynes area. This exciting role offers the chance to contribute significantly to fostering a dynamic, inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting effective teaching and learning, positively enhancing the educational journey of our students.
About the Role:
- Provide targeted support in English and Maths to small groups of students across various age groups
- Deliver specialised support in reading as a Reading Specialist, helping to improve literacy skills and foster a love of reading
- Assist with whole-class teaching in areas such as Guided Reading, Maths, English, and Phonics, while offering general classroom support when needed
- Support pupils with additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Full-time position with the potential to transition into a permanent contract
The ideal candidate will:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject area
- HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) certification is essential
- Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
- A passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting student learning
- Previous experience delivering intervention sessions is highly desirable
