We are looking for a committed and skilled Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an outstanding school in the Milton Keynes area. This exciting role offers the chance to contribute significantly to fostering a dynamic, inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting effective teaching and learning, positively enhancing the educational journey of our students.



About the Role:


  • Provide targeted support in English and Maths to small groups of students across various age groups
  • Deliver specialised support in reading as a Reading Specialist, helping to improve literacy skills and foster a love of reading
  • Assist with whole-class teaching in areas such as Guided Reading, Maths, English, and Phonics, while offering general classroom support when needed
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Full-time position with the potential to transition into a permanent contract



The ideal candidate will:


  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject area
  • HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) certification is essential
  • Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • A passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting student learning
  • Previous experience delivering intervention sessions is highly desirable
