Java Tech Lead (SC Cleared) | Inside IR35 | up to £650 per day | 1 DAY IN HULL PER WEEK The Role We are looking for a hands-on Java Technical Lead with proven industry experience in digital architecture and product delivery to join an exciting, cross-system initiative known as Justice ID. Justice ID aims to enable secure, efficient, and trusted flows of data across the Criminal Justice System (CJS), directly addressing the challenges of fragmented Legacy systems and identity resolution. As a Java Technical Lead, you will join a small, multidisciplinary pathfinder team combining digital, data, policy, and operational expertise. Initially, your focus will be a fast-paced, 3-month proof of concept (PoC) and prototyping phase to test the viability of a single interface for police officers: the ''Identify and Manage an Offender'' (IMO) service. You will act as the technical anchor, working closely with system owners to map out how data moves across policing, courts, prisons, and probation, ultimately clearing a path from abstract concept to solid implementation.
