Software Engineer (Java) - Geospatial and Cloud SolutionsLocation: North East England (Hybrid Working) Rate: Circa 60 per hour (Umbrella) Contract Length: 12 Months (with potential extension) Security Requirements: Must be eligible to obtain or already hold SC ClearanceOverviewWe are supporting a leading technology and engineering organisation seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Java) to join a collaborative Agile development team delivering advanced geospatial and cloud-based software solutions.This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge products within a modern cloud environment, contributing across the full software development lifecycle from design and development through to testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement. The team operates within an Agile Scrum framework and values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.The role follows a hybrid working model, with approximately three days per week onsite and two days working remotely.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable Java-based applications.Design and implement cloud-native services and software components.Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to deployment and support.Create reusable software patterns and solutions to improve development efficiency and team productivity.Develop and maintain unit and automated tests to ensure software quality.Participate in code reviews and design reviews, ensuring adherence to ..... full job details .....
