Java Engineer

Must hold and ACTIVE SC ClearanceInside IR35Java Engineer required for a long-term engagement, offering competitive rates with a hybrid working arrangement, 40% onsite in the West Midlands. Active SC Clearance is required. You''ll join an expanding engineering team within a DevOps environment, supporting Java applications, APIs, data integrations and batch processes. Key duties: Develop and support Java-based applications, microservices and APIs. Support data integration, batch processing and data pipelines. Monitor performance, investigate incidents and maintain service reliability. Work with engineering teams and clients to deliver secure, efficient solutions. Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement. Technical Skills Experience with Java/Microservices, RabbitMQ, MongoDB/MySQL, Kubernetes, Grafana/Prometheus and GitLab is essential. Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Apache Airflow, JS7 or TWS is also required. Experience with AWS, Oracle or Cloudera is desirable. About You Strong Java engineering and production support experience. Good understanding of APIs, data integration and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
