Java Developer - WebLogic & Oracle

Job title: Java Engineer - WebLogic & Oracle
Rate: -450 per day
Location: Telford/Hybrid 2 days onsite per week
Contract: 6 months rolling

Candidates are required to be willing and eligible to go through BPSS security clearance for this role

I''m looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join a high-profile enterprise environment, working on live Internal Applications within Tax Administration. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping critical services running, supporting batch processing and delivering controlled change across a complex application landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, enhancing and supporting enterprise Java applications
• Supporting live services and BAU production environments
• Working with WebLogic application servers
• Writing and supporting complex Oracle SQL queries
• Managing code through Git and controlled release processes
• Building and managing dependencies with Maven
• Working with Kubernetes and containerised platforms
• Supporting batch and operational activities
• Balancing live-service support with ongoing change and improvement

Required Experience:

• Java - essential
• WebLogic - essential
• Oracle SQL - essential
• Git - essential
• Maven - essential
• Kubernetes / containerised platforms - essential

Also desirable:

• Shell scripting
• Linux
• Command-line tooling
• Experience supporting batch processing or operational workloads
