Senior Java Developer (AWS)6 months - Remote working 370 - 420 p/d INSIDE IR35 OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join a major Government programme delivering secure, cloud-native digital services. The successful candidate will have extensive experience building scalable Java applications within AWS environments and will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing microservices-based solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.Build and enhance cloud-native services hosted within AWS environments.Develop scalable and secure microservices architectures.Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality digital services.Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.Support continuous improvement initiatives across development practices and platform capabilities.Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.Mentor junior developers and contribute to the wider engineering community.
