Java DeveloperRate: £70/hrIR35: Inside IR35Location: NewcastleWorking Pattern: 3 days a week on siteClearance: Currently SC Cleared or able to obtain SC ClearanceYou will join a global defence technology consultancy as they deliver digital transformation to the MoD.You will join an Agile Scrum team, working on innovative Geospatial software, using the latest cloud-based technologies.You will be involved in every stage of the software development life cycle, from initial design through development, testing, and deployment, delivering robust, scalable cloud-based services.ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-quality, readable, scalable and easily maintained code, using Java and related technologies, meeting requirements and coding standards.Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enhance team velocity.Contribute to quality assurance by writing unit and automated tests.Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelinesEnsure code is sufficiently documented and share knowledge of solutions implemented.Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups in a true Agile environment, contributing to agile based estimating.Work with the scrum team to meet the sprint commitmentsYour skills and experience:EssentialJavaCloud Services developmentUnit testingDesirableDevSecOps awareness using tools such as Tekton, ArgoCD, SonarQubeRed Hat Openshift ..... full job details .....
