About the role My client currently has an opportunity for a Technology Design Engineer (ITS) (Highways), to work on the M25, one of the busiest sections of road in the UK and one of the most important. You will be responsible for assisting in the efficient service delivery of the M25 DBFO Network by undertaking a wide range of incident response, hazard clearance, network maintenance and much more. As a Technology Design Engineer (ITS) (Highways), you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of ITS/Technology design activities across the M25 network. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role involves assisting with the development, review, and coordination of design solutions for a range of roadside technology assets. What you''ll be doing Assist in the preparation of ITS/Technology designs for assets such as CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, and MIDAS, under supervision from senior engineers. Contribute to the production of drawings, documents, and technical reports. Support senior engineers during design reviews to ensure completeness and compliance with standards. Participate in optioneering and feasibility activities, including data gathering and basic assessment work. Help compile design briefs, technical inputs, and documentation for design suppliers. Assist in monitoring progress against programme and budget, providing updates to senior engineers and project managers.
