Are you an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or IT & AV Engineer looking for a permanent role where you''ll be trusted with more than just ticket-logging, given the chance to develop your technical skills, and become a go-to person for solving complex issues in a prestigious education environment?

On offer is a secure, in-person position with a well-established Cambridge organisation, where you''ll work across a broad mix of technologies spanning end-user support, Microsoft 365, core infrastructure and meeting-room AV. You''ll be supported by an IT team, suppliers and wider university services, while gaining exposure to service improvement projects and best-practice delivery.

In this role you will act as an escalation point for staff and students, help ensure the helpdesk runs smoothly, and take ownership of issues through to resolution. You''ll also support and maintain the wired and wireless network, servers and key services, and provide hands-on support for projectors, digital displays and hybrid meeting technology for important events and meetings.

The Role:

Senior escalation support for IT and AV, taking ownership of complex issues
Supporting the day-to-day operation of the helpdesk and service documentation
Supporting networks (wired/wireless), servers and core services (DNS/DHCP)
Supporting Microsoft 365 and end-user devices (Windows 11), peripherals and BYOD
37.5 hours per week, core hours 10am-4pm with flexibility outside these hours

The Person:

Experience in 1st/2nd line support with strong Windows 11 and Windows Server knowledge
Comfortable supporting Microsoft 365/Office and typical IT peripherals (printers/scanners/VoIP)
Confident working across IT and basic AV/meeting room technology
