OverviewWithers is recruiting an experienced IT Trainer to join the AI and Innovation team. This hands-on, strategic role focuses on delivering innovation and change across a global law firm, embedding new technologies into working practices, including generative AI tools. The role is based in London, with travel as required, and reports to the Global IT Training Manager. The AI and Innovation team will operate within the IT and PMO functions and work under a multi-disciplinary steering group.
Responsibilities
Work with the AI and Innovation team to assess work practices and support improvements through training.
Support the integration and adoption of new technologies into daily working practices.
Champion innovation and continuous improvement by fostering a culture of openness, quality and collaboration.
Collaborate with legal and business services teams to understand workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend technology-driven solutions.
Provide one-on-one coaching to staff at all levels to improve productivity through effective tool usage.
Build strong relationships across teams to promote IT training and support business service excellence.
Design, implement and deliver training programmes for existing systems and new technologies, including generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
Deliver training in classroom, remote, one-on-one, and desk-side formats; tailor to user needs and roles.
Create engaging training materials, guides and video tutorials; maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) content and schedules.
Monitor user adoption and gather feedback to refine training programmes and tool configurations.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, AI regulations, and Microsoft 365 capabilities; continually develop relevant expertise.
Partner with the Global IT Training Manager and the global training team to align with the firm’s technology and innovation strategy; assist with course promotion, scheduling, delegate registration and attendance tracking; provide support to the IT Training Manager and Head of Service Delivery as needed.
Support the IT Service Delivery function as required and collaborate with the wider IT team on related initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience with Office 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive); strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT or similar GenAI tools.
iManage Work / Cloud; mobile devices and associated applications; use of eLearning tools such as Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Synthesia or similar.
Expertise in prompt engineering and AI-assisted productivity techniques.
Law (preferred) or Professional Services firm experience.
TAP/Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or equivalent.
Remote training experience (via Zoom, Teams or similar).

Essentials
Working hours: 9:30am to 5:30pm, with flexibility required.
Hybrid policy: minimum of two days in the London office.
12-week probation period; 4-week notice period.
