Overview

IT Systems Support Engineer role at Free-Work UK. The client is a Bank based in Central London. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of IT experience within the financial industry and a total of 5 years in IT. You will be part of a small team managing the day-to-day technology infrastructure to support bank operations.Responsibilities

Maintenance of the Bank''s IT infrastructure by providing first line support for software, hardware and networking, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope.Design, plan and deploy IT projects to enhance the existing IT infrastructure and any applications required by the bank.End User Computing support for all staff.Coordinate between London Users and Group IT Security on all requests for system access and ensure permissions are provided promptly, are regularly updated and that the Group Access Matrix Protocol is followed at all times.Preserve the assets of the Bank by implementing Disaster Recovery and backup procedures and ensuring standards comply with Group requirements.Provide IT support to ensure the smooth running of daily and periodic reports for the London Compliance team to adhere to Anti Money Laundering provisions.Undertake data extraction for reporting requirements for all stakeholders at the bank.Monitor CCTV, telephony systems and door access systems and ensure they are well maintained with proper backup and that relevant maintenance procedures are applied.Overall networking equipment monitoring (e.g., switches, firewalls and other appliances) and support.Plan and carry out maintenance checks to ensure IT Operations and infrastructure run smoothly and that daily routine tasks are completed.Maintain the BCP site to ensure continuous bank operations.Maintain the branch PABX system and ensure the recording system is up and running at all times.Technical skills

Operating systems: Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and above; Red Hat Linux-based systems.Software: VMware v6.7 and above; Veeam Backup and Replication; Symantec Endpoint Protection; Symantec Endpoint Encryption; ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus; Microsoft Office 365.Networking: Cisco switches and routers; Fortigate firewalls; LAN/WAN routing.Hardware: Dell PowerEdge servers; Dell PowerVault SAN storage.Project managementData analysisPersonal skills
