IT Support Technician Location: Bishops StortfordSalary: £28,000-£32,000, depending on experienceTerm: Permanent Our client is a small, independent IT services company supporting a varied mix of businesses, from small companies to larger organisations. They are looking for a practical, proactive IT Support Technician who enjoys solving problems and looking after customers. You might have a year or more of first-line support experience and be ready for your next step, or you could be more experienced and looking for greater autonomy. Either way, you''ll have plenty of variety, opportunities to learn, and training and support to help you develop. One day you could be resetting passwords or crawling under a desk to sort out a connection; the next, visiting a client or helping deliver a new IT implementation. You''ll need to be happy getting stuck in wherever you''re needed. The role of IT Support Technician: Provide friendly, helpful IT support to clients remotely and during site visits. Troubleshoot everyday hardware, software, email and connectivity issues. Set up computers, user accounts and equipment, helping customers get up and running. Organise your own workload, take ownership of issues and keep customers informed. Get involved in IT implementation projects, upgrades and improvements across different client environments.
