IT Support Technician Apprentice

Beechwood Park School is an award-winning preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3 to 13, offering day and flexi-boarding in Hertfordshire. About the role: The IT Support Technician Apprentice is an important part of the IT team. The school is increasingly dependent on its IT systems working properly and efficiently. You will be responsible for system wide technical support including: workstations, laptops, printers, audio-visual, telecoms and printing. In co-operation with teachers you will support the teaching of IT by preparing relevant materials and working alongside pupils and teachers in the IT suites. Responsibilities: Handle frontline queries from various sources including email, helpdesk and telephone Maintain communication with users, updating requests logged on the school''s ticketing system, and escalating them within the team as required Install and maintain computer hardware, workstations, laptops, audio/visual equipment and peripherals Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment Assist with the expansion of the school network infrastructure including switches, cabling and wireless network equipment Routine administration including iPad maintenance, data backups, workstation health checks, anti-virus scans Software installation, maintenance and upgrading Support staff and pupils with the set-up and preparation of IT equipment around the school Provide high quality customer focused technical support and training to non-teaching and ..... full job details .....
