IT Support Engineer - Manchester Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong networking skills and the confidence to take ownership of complex technical issues? We re looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to become the most senior engineer within an IT support team. You ll act as the technical escalation point, support 1st line colleagues and resolve issues across networking, infrastructure and Microsoft cloud services. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with a structured approach to troubleshooting and sees problems through to resolution. The role Own escalated technical issues, from initial investigation through to resolution. Troubleshoot networking problems across DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching. Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune. Support switching and firewall environments, including Juniper and Palo Alto technologies or equivalent platforms. Provide technical guidance to the 1st line team, helping colleagues develop their troubleshooting skills. Maintain clear documentation of investigations, fixes and support procedures. What you ll bring Experience in a senior IT support, infrastructure support or 2nd/3rd line engineering role. Strong networking fundamentals, with the ability to explain and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching confidently.
