IT Specialist/Storage and Backup Engineer - Edinburgh

Sanderson is working in partnership with a leading global provider of ICT Services for the large enterprise and public sector markets.Work as an operational team member in the backup team* BAU operations (daily checks and manual backup refreshes)* BAU storage management tasks (Robocopy etc)* Maintaining directory structures and DFS of enterprise storage* Supporting Storage and backup related aspects of any Digital Solutions projects ongoing* Process Service Now tickets and ADO tickets* Supporting delivery activities as needed* Responding to service failures * Improving the service and introducing automation where possible Qualifications * Experience in operations support functional and backup domainTechnical and Functional skills and background experience* Operational experience with the following would be preferred * Avamar* NetBackup* Storage Protect/Plus Preferred Skills* Experience in Leonardo IT operational processes* Experience in Leonardo IT operational backup systems * SC Cleared Storage and Backup Engineer to work Mostly Remote (1 to 2 days a week onsite) - 6 months engagementWe are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
