IT Security Engineer

IT Security Engineer/Lead – London - £75,000 - £85,000 pa + Bonus + BenefitsJNC are working with a growing professional services company in London that are looking to bring on a talented IT Security Engineer who will help lead them into the next phase of their security operations journey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience being the go-to IT security person in a growing IT department, and who can lead on security driven projects such as creating a new outsourced SOC or advancing the organisation’s cloud and 365 offerings.This role requires a strong background in networking and firewalls as well as some recent experience in security architecture.Responsibilities

Lead and escalate IT security initiatives within a growing IT department.Take the lead on security projects, including potential development of a new outsourced SOC.Further the organisation’s cloud and Microsoft 365 security offerings.Collaborate with stakeholders to implement secure design, architecture, and controls.Technical Experience

Strong networking, switching and firewall experience; ideally with Check Point and Extreme Networks.Experience with SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools.Experience with URL filtering (e.g., Censornet or similar).Experience with SOC solutions is desirable but not essential (e.g., Arctic Wolf or Rapid7).Experience with internal vulnerability scanning and reporting; ideally Nessus by Tenable.Experience with Aruba SD-WAN (Silver Peak) or similar.Experience with Check Point Harmony or similar.Experience with Extreme Networks for Access Points.Experience with 365 and Entra ID Hybrid environments.Knowledge of gateways in DMZ.Certifications in CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM would be desirable.Knowledge of ISO 27001.Legal and Employment Statements
