IT Security and Infrastructure Engineer

OverviewWe are recruiting an IT Security and Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and strengthening a secure, reliable IT environment.This is a hands-on technical position combining infrastructure management and security, where you''ll take ownership of systems performance, improve security controls, and support ongoing compliance initiatives including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.You''ll work closely with internal teams to ensure systems are resilient, well-maintained, and aligned to business needs.This is an onsite role and therefore applicants must be commutable to the office. Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure and SystemsManage and support core infrastructure across Windows Server, cloud, and on-prem environmentsMaintain networking, storage, backup, and virtualisation platformsMonitor system performance, capacity, and security postureSupport infrastructure upgrades, system changes, and improvement projectsAct as an escalation point for technical issuesSecurity and ComplianceSupport and improve cyber security controls across infrastructure and endpoint environmentsAssist with Cyber Essentials (CE) and Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+) certification activitiesContribute to vulnerability management, patching, and system hardeningSupport audits, compliance reviews, and risk reduction initiativesPromote good security practices across the organisationSupport and User ServicesProvide 1st and 2nd line support when requiredSupport users with devices, ..... full job details .....
