Security Analyst

on a

12-month fixed term contract . This is a key role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and ensuring the security of systems, networks, and data — both in the cloud and on-premises.As an

IT Security Analyst , you’ll play a vital part in monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing our security controls, identifying potential risks, and responding to incidents. You’ll be hands-on with a variety of tools and technologies and have a real impact on strengthening our overall security posture.What you’ll be doing

Monitoring systems, networks, and user activity to detect suspicious behaviour or policy violationsInvestigating and managing security incidents, including root cause analysis and reportingDeploying, configuring, and maintaining key security platforms used by the analyst teamConducting vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activitiesSupporting patch management across IT through tooling and reportingPerforming regular security control reviews and health checksCreating and enhancing measures to demonstrate effectiveness and coverage of security controlsAssisting with internal and external security assessments and auditsContinuously updating incident response plans, procedures, and playbooksProviding 3rd line support to colleagues across IT and the wider businessExperience and qualifications

Minimum 5 years'' experience in roles such as IT Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, Senior Network Administrator or Network EngineerCISSPCOMPTIA Security+Degree in IT Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, or related disciplineIT Security Architecture certifications (desirable)Experience with SIEM and SOAR platformsExperience with log analytics, rule creation and tuning, threat huntingExperience with dashboards and visualisationWhat you’ll bring

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess and respond to security threatsA proactive, curious, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solvingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when translating technical issues for non-technical audiencesPassion for cyber security and a desire to stay up to date with the latest threats, tools, and best practicesWhat we offer
