To manage the day to day operations of ALL IT services to the business and assist members of Group IT in the delivery of those services.Job Purpose:

The IT Manager is required to supervise the operation, support and maintenance of the IT environment. Supervising IT support staff; be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our IT systems across the business. The successful candidate will have improved skills, proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry best practice processes.Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Responsibilities will include:Liaise with the Business, build positive working relationships with the office Partners and DirectorsCoordinate with the functional teams and oversee day-to-day running of ALL IT systems across the business to ensure working effectivelyCall logging and management including regular liaison with IT hardware maintenance provider and other 3rd party IT suppliers/contractorsDevelop, manage and deliver Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Responsible for the IT helpdesk environment, its performance, efficiency and high service standardsDevelopment of Technical standards including adherence to Change Management processesMonitoring of daily backupsManagement of the asset database and software registerOut of hours monitoring and supportMaintain a quality IT service by establishing and enforcing organisation standardsIntroduce and develop innovative ways of working / troubleshooting to identify issues and reduce downtimeManage the IT Support staff and function, develop and support the teamAccomplish IT Support staff results by communicating; supporting, coaching, monitoring, appraising, counselling, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresOrganise the support team to provide a high level of user support based on principles of first time fixMonitor support calls, identify trends and gaps and take appropriate steps to improve the quality of service deliveryWork closely with departmental managers to determine the ongoing support requirementsOrganise support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment and networksCoordinate training and orientation for new technology and help the support team become familiar with the IT environmentDesign, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and proceduresEnsure security of data, network access and backup systemsIdentify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in timeDuties will vary and be revised due to the nature of the IT Support environment (above is a guide and not a comprehensive list of responsibilities).Essential Skills:

Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experienceExcellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systemsExpertise in data centre management and data governanceHands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installationAbility to manage personnelExperience of managing ITCore Behavioural Skills:

Confident individual with the good interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels and communicate to users in a clear, non-technicalTeam-playerAnalytically minded, able to break down and understandMust be comfortable with working in a fast-moving, dynamic environmentStrongly customer-focused, used to providing support to demanding clientsGood organisational skills, used to managing and prioritising own workloadAbility to report on progress, timescales, outstanding and completed tasksCompany Values Statement:
