MidPointe Library – IT Manager - Full Time – West Chester, OHAs the IT Manager, under the general direction of the IT Director, you would monitor the system-wide daily operations and maintenance for the hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows and MAC) of the library, as well as manage the network infrastructure, servers, cloud services and cybersecurity protocols, and collaborate with department heads regarding their IT needs. You would also lead, supervise, manage, and support the IT staff including scheduling, evaluating, training and developing as well as assist the IT Director with support, IT strategies, projects, long-term planning, budgets, and managing vendor relationships and contracts. This role ensures the efficient operation of IT services, supports innovation, and helps align technology initiatives with business goals.MidPointe is located on the east side of Butler County, Ohio in a vibrant, dynamic, diverse community that enjoys community support. Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field or a minimum of 8 years commensurate job experience required.A minimum of 3 years of in-person work experience in computer and/or network technical support is required.A minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience in a customer service industry is highly desired.Must have a valid drivers’ license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, have continuous insurability on the library’s insurance, have reliable transportation to travel between library facilities, and able to drive a library vehicle when needed.Effectively problem solve, collaborate, adapt and accept change, learn new technology, be dependable, organized, self-motivated, adaptable, efficient and reliable, and have initiative.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies.Have experience managing networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls, servers, backups, and endpoint management.Have leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Have a working knowledge of cybersecurity; cloud services; network administration; server operating systems; virtualization; Office 365; Microsoft Azure; Hyper V; Windows and Apple MAC environments; and an integrated library system (ILS).Learn and carry out the responsibilities of the assigned position.Must have regular and predictable physical attendance and punctuality as required.
Physical Abilities
Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use tools for computer maintenance, to operate library equipment and machines, and perform general typing and keyboard operation as needed.Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and able to sit for extended periods of time.Must be able to use an elevator.Be able to lift materials, manipulate boxes and computer equipment that could weigh up to 75+ pounds and able to run cables behind and under furniture.
Hours
40 hours per week; Mon-Fri generally 8am-5pm (is flexible), evenings and weekends as needed.
Rate of Pay
The pay range is $28.00 - $45.00; exempt; the rate depends on job factors such as experience, job skills, education, languages spoken, and certifications.
