IT Junior Support Department: IT Salary: 26,667 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Full-time 37 hours per week Reference: REC2500 Closing Date: Sunday 20th September 2026 The Opportunity Barnsley College is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Junior Support professional to join our IT Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in IT within a large and diverse organisation that supports thousands of staff and students. Working as part of a dedicated IT team, you will play a key role in ensuring users can access and effectively utilise the College''s technology systems. The successful candidate will provide first and second line support, responding to technical queries via the Service Desk, telephone, email and face-to-face support. You will assist with the maintenance, installation and repair of IT equipment, support the deployment of hardware and software, and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in IT projects, support onboarding activities for new staff, manage IT assets and inventory, and work alongside experienced colleagues to help deliver outstanding IT services across the College.
