IT Infrastructure Engineer/SQL Server DBA

IT Infrastructure Engineer is required by an international IT company to join their global infrastructure team. You will be responsible for: Administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, patching, and secure access management. Designing, implementing, and maintaining Hyper-V based virtualization platforms. Managing and optimising Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 integrations. Developing and enhancing existing automation scripts, workflows, and operational processes. Implementing and maintaining security controls. Monitoring, optimising and improving operational reliability across hybrid infrastructure environments. 3rd line IT support. Required experience and skills: Extensive experience of operating within a Microsoft-centric infrastructure environment. Proven ability to manage, secure, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-prem and cloud environments, including high availability, performance tuning, and reliable backup/restore operations. Experience with Microsoft 365. Microsoft Azure, including Landing Zones, RBAC, Networking, and Security. Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform etc ) ITIL DevOps and CI/CD. ..... full job details .....
